Level
From IvaPedia
Your character advances in power by gaining experience.
You gain experience by:
- being part of a group that kills a monster
You lose experience by:
- fleeing from combat
- recalling out of combat
- dying(lower level characters will not suffer any loss from this)
The experience you get from a kill depends on several things: how many players are in your group; your level versus the level of the monster; and some random variation.
When you receive a certain amount of experience, you will gain a level. Higher levels will need more experience. Unlike some games, your experience will be reset when you gain a level, so dying will not set you back too much.
Level influences what items can you use, buy, and keep, and the learning, power, and/or duration of most of the skills and spells of the game, as well as too many other things to even try to list them here.
The maximum level for mortal characters is 500 - Attaining this level grants the title of Legend. Mobs however run much higher in level, and while the most common ones can easily have up to 1500 levels, it is said that there is a powerful being possessing over 30000 levels.
Once a character becomes a Legend, They will gain further access to the Magitek Surgeon.
