Surrounded by rolling plains, Damcyan is a world-renowned center for the arts. Filled with song and dance, the castle is very lively and all are welcomed, especially by the merchants who profit the most from the shows regularly held at the city's world-famous opera house. The city of Damcyan can be found on the northwestern continent, far to the west of Solace.

The sea ship Radiant Crest and the airship Wind Rider both stop at Damcyan.

Damcyan's Place in Ivalice

Damcyan is now the largest economic power in Ivalice, though Solace is slowly regaining Coneria's former dominance over the market. Damcyan's internal commerce thrives mostly due to their abundance of valuable art and services of entertainment. Damcyan also supplies many other kingdoms with clothing, designed both for the common working man to the regal kings and queens of the land.

In terms of social freedoms, Damcyan is one of the most open kingdoms throughout Ivalice, and shares many of the same ideals with the the town of Gariland. Discrimination based upon any factor(Gender, race, creed) is frowned upon, and diversity is largely encouraged by the governing officals.

In terms of Damcyan's Military and technology, neither are very prevalent. Damcyan can and will protect themselves against other nations, but generally lack the technology and military capacity that the Vector Empire has.
