Caller
From IvaPedia
A caller uses an innate ability to summon the likenesses of powerful beasts in combat. By using these 'calls', reinforced by raw magical power, they are able to deal a staggering amount of damage to their enemies. They are usually found behind the others in a group as they are unable to withstand being the focus of an attack.

Caller vs Summoner
There is frequently confusion between these two classes of Ivalice, although their abilities are significantly different. The main differences between the Summoners and Callers of the world is how they manifest their power.
Callers, as noted here, create illusions of beasts that are reinforced by their own magic power. Their use of this power cannot be sustained more than a few moments. The illusions themselves are harmless, but the magic power behind the illusion is immensely potent.
Summoners bring forth Aeons, which are real and tangible entities. These aeons use their own magical power, and are commanded using the summoner's power.
