Tier 1 Lightning Elemental Spell: Lightning
The Lightning spell is one of the most basic for a Black Mage to learn. It is the a stepping stone to becoming a Legendary Black Mage. The Lightning spell itself, as its name suggests, causes lightning elemental damage. It is not a particularly powerful spell, but can be useful for shocking foes, or even to provide light at night.

Tier 6 Lightning Elemental Spell: Ultima
Ultima is the most powerful spell from the Lightning elemental spell set. It is often compared to the Fire spell of the same tier, Meteo. Like all lightning spells, the Ultima spell has the possibility of turning their victims into a living lightning rod, causing all other following lightning attacks to increase in damage.
Unlike the other spells of its element, it will strike any non-party, non-friendly NPCs that are present. Because of this, it has a profound ability to draw much unwanted attention to its caster. Like other spells of its strength, it is incredibly rare. Only a few select of the monster races happen to possess its power and are strong enough to conquer its challenges.
Obtaining Ultima
At the moment, there are no confirmed ways of obtaining this spell. Only one mortal(Castolari Pedra) has ever possessed this potent spell. Some say that relentless dedication and a scholarly state of mind may assist one in discovering its secrets.
Mystery Surrounding Ultima
Ultima has also been the known cause to the sudden, violent destruction of the ruins of Jushad. Although the origin of its casting is unknown, the resulting shockwaves and patterns left in the crater of Jushad hint the possibility of a very powerful monster.
