 | Welcome to Solace | |
 | Welcome to Solace!
Yes, the world has been turned upside down and Coneria is now nothing more than smoking ruins. However, by the divine grace of the Immortals, humanity was brought to its new cradle of life. The ancient city of Solace, home to technology and magic dating back before the birth of even the earliest legends. The city is hidden under an island at the heart of the world sea. Hidden away for ages, it remained almost compeltely undisturbed even by the tribulation that sundered the rest of Ivalice. There are many secrets hidden within the lost city waiting to be discovered and much history to uncover.
For those of you just starting your journey into the new and greatly-changed Ivalice, it would be wise to first explore the city itself. Becker, the grouchy shopkeeper from Coneria, managed to pack his bags and followed the rest of the army to Solace. He has set up shop NEW (that's north, east, west) of recall. He is now stocked with his freshly-minted map of the city.
For those feeling brave enough to adventure out into the world beyond Solace, they will find a very nice surprise waiting beyond the gates of the city. Upon finding the exit to Solace itself (try going directly south from recall), you can simply type zone to leave the area and return to the Overworld. For the first time, in living, breathing 2-D COLOR EXTRAVAGANZA... Ivalice has come to live as a fully-realized world. Grassland, forest, mountain, shallows, ocean, tundra. Even an underworld.
All of these things are just waiting to be explored. Familiar areas from the past are still present, although many of their locations are much changed by the destruction caused by Zanon and the gods. But a clever explorer should be able to find them all. Of course, there are still many areas yet to be discovered, and it's only a matter of time before they begin to appear in this brave new world. And, of course, each area is now marked with a * (red star) on the world map. You simply have to type zone to enter them, just like you left Solace earlier.
Homeland cities, in an effort to establish contact, have now opened their ports and air docks to various boats and airships throughout the world. As of now, they provide the only stable means of travel over higher mountain ranges and ocean trenches. There is even rumor that one airship travels into the blazing Underworld itself.
To help in this endevour, you'll find a useful set of coordinates to the upper-right of the world map as you move around. These coordinates refer to the specific grid square on the world map where you are currently located at. For a current list of the known zones and their locations, please refer
to:
Area Coordinate Listing
And, as always, please take a moment to thank those who have made all of this possible. Without the hard work and dedication of Ivalice's staff, this simply wouldn't have happened.
There are always new adventures on the horizon. Solace is but another beginning in the continuing saga of Ivalice.

 | Epic Event! | |
 | Roleplay Week | |
 | Attention, Adventurers!
By popular demand, Roleplay Weekends are no more!
Now, the drawing is extended throughout the entire WEEK!
That's right, all of your hard work payed off. We were so impressed with the results of roleplay weekends, that we decided to expand it across the entire week! The Weekly Roleplay Lottery(WRL) will be held on Sunday.
The entry time is between Sunday, 12:00AM to the following Saturday, at 11:59 PM. Any roleplay done within this time that merits atleast one roleplay point will be counted as an entered, and will be eligible for the drawing!
In addition to this change, there are a few more changes, which are listed below.
1)There will be more than one person hosting the WRL.
2)Developing Team members are now eligible for the WRL.
3)Prizes will vary week to week, instead of the previous 'Grab Bag' prizes of the past.
More info to come!

 | Looking for BUILDERS | |
 | This is just a small reminder that the realm of Ivalice is always looking for builders and more content to add to our mud! As of right now, I am currently in search of new builders. While some knowledge of olc(building knowledge) is preferred, its not quite something you have to know to build on Ivalice. Anyone can build!
As a Builder, you would basically report to me, the head builder. The requirements for building on Ivalice are really pretty simple. We only require that you have at least one character thats level 100+. So at least you have a chance to learn OUR world of Ivalice and try to expand your knowledge of the game.
To apply, write a note on Board 5 to IMMORTALS. Include in your note:
1) Any previous building experience.
2) The concept of the area you would like to build
3) The level range of said area
4) Finally the name of the area.
While there are only few rules, the one that really want enforced is that you "Do The Work!" Builders are not for characters to idle and just sit around, if those are your reasons then need not even apply.
Any other questions, feel free to send me a message on here, the forums or on the mud itself.
Thanks!
~Kylanna

 | Welcome | |

The world is veiled in Darkness ...
The wind stops. The Sea is wild ...
The Earth begins to rot ...
The People wait ...
Their only hope, a prophecy:
"When the world is in Darkness, Four warriors will come ..."
After a long journey, four young warriors arrive, each holding a sacred
orb.
It began with the kidnapping of the Princess - A villain known only as
Garland escaped with her to the Castle of Fiends, the Gateway to the past
...
"No one touches my Princess!
Light Warriors??
You impertinent Fools!
I, Garland, will knock you all down!"
The monster soon revealed his true form - That of Chaos, Master of the
Four Fiends. After a long battle, the Light Warriors managed to overcome
the beast and destroy him once and for all ... However, Chaos could not
ever be truly defeated as long as Evil plagued the world ...
Generations past and the People lived in peace, without the fear of Chaos
or his Fiends. But the peace was quickly shattered when a Half-Lunarian by
the name of Golbez appeared and stole the Crystals of Light and the
Crystals of Darkness for his Master, Zeromus. The Dark Lord was defeated
by his brother, Cecil, and together, along with the power of another
Lunarian, they killed Zeromus, thus restoring the peace ... For a time ...
Centuries later - After the War of the Magi, The war that destroyed half
the world, setting them thousands of years behind, A man called Kefka was
raised to the rank of General in the Imperial Army of Emperor Ghestal. He
was the embodiment of Evil ... the perfect successor of Chaos. The man
used his armies to gain control of The Statues - The Stone Remnants of
the Original Creators of Magic - And again changed the face of the world,
killing any who stood against him. He burned towns that refused to join
him. He killed without mercy using his 'Light of Judgment', until a
group, led by a Half-Esper girl, finally put an end to his reign of terror.
And now, after centuries of Chaos ...
After the War of the Magi ...
After Kekfa and the Triad ...
After Sepheroth and Jenova ...
... A new form of Chaos returns ...
The world is once again in darkness, and the people look to the Fates for
one who might save them again ...
